The Mind Comes First
Stress, old trauma and emotions not let go of do not stay neatly inside the mind. They can shape what the nervous system asks the body to carry.
Your symptoms are real. Stress, old hurts and what you carry can keep your gut in a flare, and working on them can help you feel much better, alongside your doctor, not instead.
For anyone living with a gut that won't settle — Crohn's, ulcerative colitis, IBS, or symptoms nobody has named yet. The mind and body are part of the same conversation: what you think, feel and carry can shape how your gut responds. Understanding that connection does not dismiss your condition. It gives you another place to begin, and a real reason to hope that life can feel much better.
Stress, old trauma and emotions not let go of do not stay neatly inside the mind. They can shape what the nervous system asks the body to carry.
Why flares and triggers happen, why the same meal can feel different on different days, and how the signals between mind and gut can keep the loop going.
Healing is possible. Mind work, calm breathing, sleep and food can help you feel much better — alongside medical care, never instead of it.
“I created The Mind Rewire because I wanted to understand how the mind and the gut talk to each other.”
This blog is the result of years of reading, reflection, and trying to make sense of human behaviour — my own included. I'm not a doctor, a therapist or a life coach. I'm someone who wanted to understand how the mind and the body talk to each other, and this is where I share what I find.

I'm not a doctor, and nothing here replaces one. This is the part of the picture your appointments rarely have time for: living with it, day to day.
